Two Postdoctoral Research Associate positions under the supervision of Professor Sabine Flitsch are available for outstanding and ambitious scientists to join a multidisciplinary team of scientists working as part of a project (ProgES) on developing programmable de novo enzymatic pathways. The project will bring together scientists with chemical, analytical, biochemical and bioinformatics background. We are now looking for candidates with one or more of the following areas of expertise: synthetic chemistry; analytical chemistry, in particular mass spectrometry; bioinformatics including database design and/or modelling.
You should have a PhD or equivalent in one of these areas: chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, bioinformatics. You should have a track-record of published work, be capable of working under your own initiative and be able to provide day-to-day supervision for PhD students associated with the project. Excellent communication and organisational skills are also required.
